Got the Wedding Bands, and our Invites
Question:
Shelley, I just gotta tell you, I have you beat… I only ordered the invites, no lined envelopes, but they were $87.10 for 125, and they arrived in two days! And they gave me 5 extra invites too. No serious competition here, just wanted to share my news too
Mellissa — "mawaige…mawaige is what bwings us togewer today" – ‘The Princess Bride’ visit my webpage: http://users.uniserve.com/~muddles Mellissa (and Jim) April 10/99, Chilliwack, BC, Canada – Hide quoted text — Show quoted text – Well, it was the best CHristmas I’ve ever spent. It’s been quite awhile since my last post (gee, sounds an awful lot like confession to me), but wnated to share our wonderful news. Paul and gave each other our wedding bands for Christmas. We wanted them to be special, so we picked the rings based on our personalities. Paul is a high school english and chemistry teacher, so he uses his hands quite a bit. With the chalk dust and all, I didn’t want to get him something that would be difficult to keep clean. I picked out a solid gold band (filled in the back rather than the hollowed out band), with 4 diamonds that sit not IN the band, but just below the surface of the band. They are encompassed by a gold fill rectangle. IT’s really quite different, and quite special. My ring is simple, yet very elegant… thin (my preference) gold band, with 6 small cut solitaire diamonds on top of the band. I love it. As for our invites, we mail ordered them through Canadian Wedding Treasures. It’s a plain vanilla card (no fold), with a gold left border (with sort of paisley design) on the gold border. The lettering is gold. We got the gold lined envelopes, rsvp cards, etc. We paid about half of what it would have cost us in the stationery store. In total, for 100 invites, RSVP cards, lined envelopes, outer envs, etc, only $228.05 incl tax and we had them in 13 days from the day of mailing the order. It’s amazing how simple some things are. We’re on cloud 9. Things are really starting to fall into place. Only 7 months, 1 day to go. YAY!!!!! Cheers, Shelley
