David, you can almost certainly get these online from NRS (http://www.nrsweb.com). There should also be plenty of places in CT that have these — I know of Collinsville, but I’m sure there are many others. Try looking under "Canoe" in the yellow pages — it should be a pretty common item. — :::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::: "I would not exchange the sorrows of my heart for the joys of the multitude"

Absolutely not! 30 degrees farenheit? It seems like like it would be difficult to paddle through an ice cube, besides…someone I know might see me.

Uh, I think we’re talkin’ salt water here. It doesn’t freeze at 32. ;)

OPen water may not freeze at 32 either, if there is current/wind…. – Hide quoted text — Show quoted text – You don’t paddle a sea kayak in 30 degree water very often do you? I was able to get some at North Cove Outfitters in Old Saybrook. I have an inexpensive inflatable kayak. Used on mostly flat water.
